On August 30, 2025, the establishment conference of the Architecture Committee of the Global Intelligent IoT Alliance (GIIC) was grandly held in Shenzhen. The first item on the agenda of the conference was the speech by Du Jinbiao, a representative of the GIIC Alliance. He said that in the past, the construction industry and intelligent interconnection technology were often seen as "two parallel lines" — construction focused on functionality and safety, while intelligent interconnection technology focused on connection and efficiency, seemingly having no intersection. Yin Bo, the vice general manager of China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd. and the director of the Architecture Committee, took the stage to speak. He elaborated on the responsibilities and missions of the Architecture Committee from a strategic height, with the main line of "jointly practicing the new mission of national strategy, jointly going to the new journey of industry change, and jointly planning a new chapter of alliance development." He stressed that the establishment of the Architecture Committee is a key step for China's construction industry to move towards intelligence, collaboration, and autonomy. It is also the starting point for industry partners to join hands to build a new industry ecosystem and jointly draw a new blueprint for development. At the conference, he called on all member units to form a joint force to turn the concept of "smart good houses" into reality, so that China's construction industry can run at "acceleration" and "new height" on the track of intelligence.

He Ji, CEO of Huawei's Campus Force, the deputy director of the Architecture Committee, delivered a speech. He pointed out that the essence of architecture is to create value in valuable space, and Harmony + AI will provide wings for the digital intelligence leap of buildings and parks. Huawei will provide ICT capabilities such as connection, computing, storage, digital energy, cloud, and AI to provide strong support for building future intelligent space and reshape people's work, production, and lifestyle. In the speech session of the expert group of the Architecture Committee, Xu Wei, a national engineering survey and design master and chief scientist of China Academy of Building Research, sent his blessings through the cloud. He pointed out that the construction industry is undergoing an intelligent transformation, and OpenHarmony provides a new system support for the application of artificial intelligence in the industry. Secretary-General Cao Yong of the Architecture Committee reported on the progress of the preparations and future plans: based on the three backgrounds of the demand for intelligent transformation of buildings, Harmony technology support, and policy orientation, the committee has completed the preliminary work of standard project initiation, adaptation practice, pilot implementation, and competition launch. He said that in the future, it will focus on the three steps of "scenario co-creation - technology co-construction - ecosystem sharing" to create replicable benchmarks, break through key technologies, and build a networked ecosystem. Zhong Anqi, a representative of the Secretariat of the Architecture Committee, read the "GIIC Architecture Committee Working Regulations (Draft)." She explained that the draft had been reviewed by the first batch of member units at the preparatory meeting on August 18 and was currently in the trial operation stage. The purpose was to test the applicability of the terms through practice. She hoped that each member unit would take the draft as a reference for action, improve it through trial implementation, and jointly lay a solid foundation for the formal implementation of the committee's regulations.

Sun Zhifeng, the director of the Architecture Committee, made a summary speech. He emphasized that the establishment of the committee is a milestone in the digital transformation of the industry and a new starting point for implementing the national strategic scientific and technological forces.
