On January 13, the thematic forum titled "HarmonyOS Foundation, Smart Construction Future" was successfully held at the Shenzhen Bay Kapok Hotel. This event was hosted by the GIIC Alliance HarmonyOS Ecosystem Promotion Committee (Construction Special Committee), and co-organized by China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd., Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and HarmonyOS Ecosystem (Shenzhen) Innovation Center.
The forum specially invited leaders from the People's Government of Nanshan District, Shenzhen, the People's Government of Longgang District, Shenzhen, the People's Government of Baiyun District, Guangzhou, as well as heads of relevant institutions including China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd., Huawei Campus Legion, and GIIC Alliance HarmonyOS Ecosystem Promotion Committee. At the opening of the conference, Guo Xiaoning, Deputy District Mayor of Nanshan District People's Government of Shenzhen, Fan Jinlong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd., and He Ji, CEO of Huawei Campus Legion, delivered speeches respectively.
In his speech, Deputy District Mayor Guo Xiaoning stated that under the forward-looking deployment and pioneering leadership of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the city is comprehensively advancing the ambitious goal of "building the world's first city of universal connectivity." Nanshan District will strengthen policy guidance and open up more application scenarios to provide solid support for the implementation and expansion of the HarmonyOS ecosystem in the construction sector.
In his speech, General Manager Fan Jinlong emphasized that, as the director member unit of the GIIC Alliance Construction Special Committee, China Academy of Building Research will actively integrate resources and collaborate closely with all partners to jointly solidify the "digital foundation" for China's intelligent construction. He Ji, CEO of Huawei Campus Legion, pointed out that 2026 marks the inaugural year when AI transitions from the digital world to the physical world, with buildings and campuses serving as core application scenarios. Huawei will join hands with partners to leverage Shenzhen's innovative soil and benchmark scenarios, building comprehensive intelligent space solutions centered on HarmonyOS + AI. Ecosystem Empowerment: Technological Innovation Driving Industry Upgrading
In the keynote speech session, Du Jinbiao, Director of the GIIC Alliance HarmonyOS Ecosystem Promotion Committee and General Manager of HarmonyOS Ecosystem Services (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., delivered a systematic exposition on the core logic and value of the HarmonyOS ecosystem in empowering thousands of industries under the theme "HarmonyOS Ecosystem Development: Creating New Quality Productive Forces." He called on all parties to strengthen collaboration, jointly build the ecosystem, and solidify the foundation of root technologies.
He further elaborated that HarmonyOS Ecosystem Services Company, as the official promotion and service platform, provides partners with one-stop services covering policy advocacy, subsidy application, business opportunity matchmaking, technical support, ecosystem promotion, talent cultivation, and testing certification. Currently, the company has established HarmonyOS Ecosystem Innovation Centers in multiple cities including Shenzhen, Chengdu, Wuhan, and Changsha, and is actively building the "HarmonyOS Six-Star" capability base to continuously inject core momentum into the nationwide development of the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
Cen Yan, expert from Shenzhen Construction Technology Promotion Center, provided an in-depth interpretation of Shenzhen's strategic planning and practical pathways for promoting HarmonyOS in construction. He shared multiple progress updates from the Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau: promoting the integrated development of "OpenHarmony/RISC-V" technology with the housing and construction industry, leading the formulation of a general technical standard system for OpenHarmony in construction, and fully committed to building benchmark projects for safe and smart construction sites using Construction HarmonyOS. Typical application cases of HarmonyOS in the intelligent construction field were also demonstrated on-site.
建筑鸿蒙专题分享环节，中国建筑科学研究院有限公司专业副总工、GIIC联盟建筑专委会秘书长曹勇从建筑行业数字化转型出发，系统梳理了当前行业面临的核心挑战与痛点，并从技术路径层面提出了开源鸿蒙在多类场景中落地的系统性解决方案。此外，他还回顾了建筑鸿蒙生态在年度实践中的关键成果，并对2026年行业发展趋势进行了前瞻展望。华为园区军团产品管理首席牛琨则基于“鸿蒙+AI，智启园区新未来”的主题分享，分享了鸿蒙技术在智慧园区场景的中融合应用与创新实践。
During the Construction HarmonyOS thematic sharing session, Cao Yong, Professional Chief Engineer of China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd. and Secretary-General of the GIIC Alliance Construction Special Committee, systematically reviewed the core challenges and pain points currently facing the construction industry from the perspective of digital transformation. He proposed systematic solutions for implementing OpenHarmony across multiple scenarios from a technical pathway perspective. Additionally, he reviewed the key achievements of the Construction HarmonyOS ecosystem in annual practices and provided forward-looking projections for industry development trends in 2026. Niu Kun, Chief Product Manager of Huawei Campus Legion, then shared insights on the integrated application and innovative practices of HarmonyOS technology in smart campus scenarios under the theme "HarmonyOS + AI: Igniting a New Future for Intelligent Campuses."

The conference grandly held the Construction HarmonyOS Interconnection Partner Accreditation Ceremony. Six enterprises—Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., China Construction Research Institute Zhihong (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Huazhao Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Fushi Intelligent Co., Ltd., Shanghai Yuan Kong Automation Technology Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Hualong Xunda Information Technology Co., Ltd.—were conferred the title of "Construction HarmonyOS Interconnection Partners."
